Join us for the EDC Skills Tune Up, a hands on practice session designed for concealed carriers looking to sharpen their everyday carry skills in a flexible, feedback driven environment. This 4 hour event features bays set up by expert instructors from Advent Training, Dragon Defense, and Iron Moose. Each instructor will monitor their own bay, guiding participants through targeted practice drills focused on real world EDC performance.
Students have the freedom to rotate between bays at their own pace, running drills and receiving personalized feedback to improve technique, speed, accuracy, and decision making. Participants must have a solid grasp of firearm fundamentals and safety.

Instructor: Scott Garcia
Scott Garcia started Advent Training in 2020 as a result of being frustrated with other training courses. His classes are not cookie-cutter and he tailors his classes to you. See the " About Us " section on Adventtraining.org for a more in-depth bio of Scott.
Instructor: Bryce Mondragon
Bryce Mondragon has served in the Utah law enforcement community for the last seven years while founding Dragon Defense. Bryce has over 1,579 hours of documented training including firearms, de-escalation, arrest control, emergency vehicle operations and team tactics. Dragon Defense continues to grow to train responsibly armed individuals to protect what they love most.
Instructor: Camerin Sullivan
Camerin Sullivan, a U.S. Navy veteran, began his shooting career in Park City as an instructor in 2022. He trained with Tony Cowden (Capable Inc.) in Wilmington, NC, and started competing in USPSA. Camerin later founded Iron Moose
, a firearms training company focused on developing the ability to shoot fast and accurately. He is now ranked Master Class in USPSA. Camerin continues to push his limits, seeking training with passionate shooters in the competitive shooting community.
- Format: Each bay will feature instructor led drills tailored to EDC scenarios and how they practice. Move freely between bays to customize your practice. Expect constructive feedback to help you identify strengths and areas for improvement.
- Prerequisites: Safe and consistent weapon handling skills, including drawing from concealment, performing reloads, and maintaining control during drills. Students unable to meet these standards will be asked to leave without refund.
- Required Equipment:
- Quality handgun suitable for EDC
- 200-300 rounds of ammunition (depending on your practice intensity. Bring more if you want to shoot more)
- Concealment holster (IWB or appendix preferred; no OWB or competition rigs)
- At least 2-3 magazines and a magazine pouch
- Sturdy gun belt
- Eye and ear protection
- EDC appropriate clothing (including concealment garments)
- Notepad and pen for notes
- Water, snacks, and weather appropriate gear (event proceeds rain or shine)
Class Size/Minimum: 30 spots, minimum 9 spots.
There are no facilities at the range except a Porta Potty. Bring your own food and water, as there will be short breaks but no extended lunch.

You understand that this training involves the use of live ammunition.
You understand that as a participant in this training, you will be responsible for any equipment that you may be required to supply. You understand that you should choose to bring and use reliable and reputable equipment.
Before participating, all shooters will need to complete and sign the provided Training Waiver. This will be sent out shortly after registration and is required for all students prior to joining this event.
