Course Details

Objective: Be familiar enough with your handgun where you are safe, confident and accurate with it. By the end of this course both your accuracy and speed will have improved.

Length: 5 hour Course on the range

Course Start Time: 9:00 AM

Location: The Farm Training Center

Description: This course is for those who are just getting into training or for those who haven't taken a training course in a while and need to kick the dust off. It is recommended to take this course after Introduction to Handgun or the Utah CCW but it is not required.

Pre-requisites: Anyone who can display safe firearm handling throughout the course. Although there are no pre-requisites other than safety, it is important to understand the following:

This is NOT an entry level course. Before taking this course you should be semi-familiar with your firearm and understand safety. If you have never taken a training course it might be better to start on the Introduction to Handgun course. If you have any questions please contact us.

Required Equipment:

• Handgun
• 300 rounds of reliable ammunition
• Handgun Holster (Leather, shoulder, cross-draw or SERPA holsters are PROHIBITED)
• Magazine Holster.
• 2 magazines (Bring more if you have them, especially if you have a single stack).
• Sturdy belt for holster.
• Notepad and pen (Take Notes!)
• Sharpie or Marker
• Eye and Ear Protection (electronic ear protection is preferred)
• Shoes or boots, no open toe or sandals
• Seasonal weather gear (i.e. rain, cold). We shoot rain or shine.
• Range appropriate attire. No low cut shirts.
• Water (Bring lots as the range has no facilities but does have a Porta Potty).

Recommended Equipment:

• Snacks
• Brimmed Hat
• Gun Cleaning Kit and Lubrication for Handgun
• Medical IFAK highly suggested but not required
• The ability to carry 3 magazines on you.
• Sunblock

Class Size: Max of 10 students per class.

Pre-requisites: Anyone who can display safe firearm handling throughout the course.

By completing the checkout process and signing up for this course, you agree that:

You have no physical infirmity that is a contraindication to firearms training, moving over uneven ground or being exposed to the weather, sun, rain, dust or other environmental exposures that may be encountered during this training.

You understand, and are fully aware, that there are many inherent risks and hazards associated with using any firearms related equipment. You know full well that by participating in this activity you may be seriously injured or killed, even if you do nothing wrong. You expressly assume all such risks.

You understand that this training involves the use of live ammunition.

You understand that as a participant in this training, you will be responsible for any equipment that you may be required to supply. You understand that you should choose to bring and use reliable and reputable equipment.

Before participating, all shooters will need to complete and sign the provided Training Waiver. This will be sent out shortly after registration and is required for all students prior to joining a course.

All sales are final. No refunds.

However, if we are notified of your enrollment cancellation more than 30 days from the training class date, your payment (minus a $25 cancellation fee) will be applied as a credit to another class. This credit will expire after 1 year and the funds will be considered forfeited. No-shows without prior notice will not be given any such credit.
