Course Details
Description: Handgun Fundamentals is an intermediate handgun training course focused on safe, efficient, accurate handgun use from the holster. We cover the core mechanics that drive consistency and confidence under pressure, and coach each student so efficiency improves first and speed becomes the byproduct. Train with your day to day equipment, if you conceal carry bring your everyday carry, if you use a duty rig run it throughout the course.
Class Instruction Includes:
- Stance
- Grip
- Draw
- Sights
- Trigger Control/Trigger Discipline
- Follow Through
- Reloading: Speed versus Tactical (or admin)
- Handgun Malfunctions
Objective: Be familiar with your handgun where you are safe, confident and accurate with it. By the end of this course both your accuracy and speed will improve.
Video package included and optional upgrades: Included with registration, you will receive 3 personalized feedback videos plus 5 raw clips from class.
Standard delivery is within 30 days of course completion. The delivery clock starts the night of course completion.
Optional add ons at checkout (select in options):
Enhanced Feedback, adds 3 extra personalized feedback videos and 5 additional raw clips, total 6 feedback videos and 10 raw clips.
Express Delivery, guarantees all footage delivered within 10 days of course completion.

The Farm Training Center. Fairfield, Utah. Roughly one week before the class date an email will be sent to notify which bay and where to park.
Pre-requisites: Anyone who can display safe firearm handling throughout the course. It is important to understand the following:
This is NOT a beginners course. You should already know your way around the firing line and understand safety precautions before taking this class. If you have never taken a training course, it would be better to start with our Introduction to Handgun course. If you have any questions please contact us.
Required Equipment*:
- Open Mind
- Handgun
- 300 rounds of reliable ammunition, bring 350 if you want a buffer for reshoots or extra reps.
- Handgun Holster: A quality belt mounted holster that covers the trigger guard and allows one handed reholstering. Prohibited holsters include SERPA style, cross draw, shoulder holsters, and soft or collapsing leather or nylon holsters.
- Magazine Holster.
- 4 magazines (Bring more if you have them, especially if you have a single stack).
- Sturdy belt for holster.
- Notepad and pen (Take Notes!)
- Sharpie or Marker
- Eye and Ear Protection (electronic ear protection is preferred)
- Shoes or boots, no open toe or sandals
- Seasonal weather gear (i.e. rain, cold). We shoot rain or shine.
- Range appropriate attire. No low cut shirts.
- Water (Bring lots as the range has no facilities but does have a Porta Potty).
- Lunch (we will have a lunch break)

- Brimmed Hat
- Gun Cleaning Kit and Lubrication for Handgun
- Medical IFAK highly suggested but not required
- The ability to carry 3 magazines on you.

You have no physical infirmity that is a contraindication to firearms training, moving over uneven ground or being exposed to the weather, sun, rain, dust or other environmental exposures that may be encountered during this training.
You understand, and are fully aware, that there are many inherent risks and hazards associated with using any firearms related equipment. You know full well that by participating in this activity you may be seriously injured or killed, even if you do nothing wrong. You expressly assume all such risks.
You understand that this training involves the use of live ammunition.
You understand that as a participant in this training, you will be responsible for any equipment that you may be required to supply. You understand that you should choose to bring and use reliable and reputable equipment.
Before participating, all shooters will need to complete and sign the provided Training Waiver. This will be sent out shortly after registration and is required for all students prior to joining a course.
All sales are final. No refunds.
However, if we are notified of your enrollment cancellation more than 30 days from the training class date, your payment (minus a $25 cancellation fee) will be applied as a credit to another class. This credit will expire after 1 year and the funds will be considered forfeited. No-shows without prior notice will not be given any such credit.
